Images

Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Toothy and I hit the river for the first time this year. We hit the area we were at last year when I had to bring Jim back in for an ambulance ride to the hospital.

Started around 11:30 AM casting Buckhorn Island shore up to the bridge and Buckhorn side of Grass Island. Went to trolling around the beginning of the Bills game working the 20' trench outside Grass Isle, the bridge, riprap up from the intakes and the walls at the end of Buckhorn.

3rd quarter started and we switched to a drift along the riprap. I was dragging a tube and Jim was casting. Moved to the trench outside Grass Isle and Jim put on a Dan Lacko modified tube with a tinsel tail. About 3 min. later Jim had one on for a few seconds as the Bills were squishing the fish and stretching out the lead. Did a few more drifts with nothing else to show.

Went back to trolling all the same areas again. Also went into the 30' to 40' area just before and out from the intakes. Trolled by the riprap and said hello to the Border Patrol Officer that was watching us and told him the Bills just scored again. Did a casting drift on the outside of Grass island and continued up toward the bridge. Got nothing but grass. Decided to run up and fish the Tonawanda intakes area. Trolled the area till dusk with no luck.

All the bait was 18' or deeper with a few larger fish and an occasional big hook.

At least the Bills had a good day.

I wish I could listen to the bills game and fish at the same time. I haven't found a way on my phone yet
