Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Today, one receiver went in attached to Buoy #8 (R) in the Black Rock & one attached to Buoy #11 (G) just east of Strawberry. That takes care of the two that were supposed to be attached to buoys. Pics to follow.
Many thanks to the DEC & to the USCG for making it happen!
On to the rest of 'em!!!!

Here are a couple of pics of the receiver attached to Buoy #8 in the Black Rock. Note that it is attached near the top of the chain, close to the buoy. The crew out there thought it would be a safer location because if it were near the bottom & there was a lot of wave action, the anchor chain could damage the receiver. being near the top & mounted "upside down" will ensure it's relatively safe. Also, being upside down, the cone angle of detection will be downward.
Pics compliments of Justin Brewer (DEC)
