I got an email from Andrew Hannes, an Ecologist for the Corps of Engineers. He sent several pics of the work being done at Unity that he presented at one of our meetings. The Corps is creating new aquatic habitat & created a weir that was going to open the pond area to the Niagara. Native vegetation, like celery, is already starting to grow on its own, and a lot of fish have been seen moving in & out of the pond. I'll send an email & try to get him to give us an update at one of our meetings.
