Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thanks John, I'll be sure to try and make the party. The profile picture Musky? I'd figure maybe very low 40, the picture is just a generous angle.

John,

I also should add that the UN2 area has really been pounded that past two years. I don't believe that is good for this fishery. But the tubers won't leave it. This is something I say often, but nobody really listens.

John,

I think the numbers of muskies caught this July in the river, including those under 40 inches, are down compared to the last few years. Also, there have been no sub-30s reported, which is unusual and a bit concerning. I think there have been about 22 fish reported for July. Last year there were 38, and that was a slow year. But it may be too early to tell. I know the tubes and jigs have not been real productive, but the early morning and night trolling have been.

John, it's good to see you are cashing in on your banquet prize.  Please try to post a full report of your trip with Capt. Bob.  I hope all of the guided trip lucky winners will do the same.

Good luck!

Yes. I fished it quite a bit last week. I was on vacation from work. The chinook fishing is very good, it's about peak now. There are some browns and a few steelies in the mix as well. The brown action seems to be picking up.

I am vacating my seat on the NMA board after many years. As a conservation Director, my primary duty was as a liason to the DEC. This generally had me sending the occasional E-mail to them after running it by the board first, and attending a few state of the lake, or other DEC public meetings. I thought of you as a good replacement, and was wondering if you would accept my nomination.

Hi John, I stopped doing that but if you go to my website

www.nyreelrepair.com there is a link to Dave Casey that will do that and does a great job.
