Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Started a little late this morning. One battery was dead. But I have three on the boat so I only had to switch a couple wires.

Decided to start in UN4 below Motor Island. First casting shallow with the Strike King Musky Pro. Really a nice lure for casting shallows. Casts a mile and easy retrieve. Plus I've caught muskies here and larger pike and muskies at Nipissing with it.

At any rate, I started at 6am, at 6:30 I had a 38 incher. A tiger, I'm quite sure. I don't usually take pictures anymore, but this being only the third tiger I've caught, one about ten years ago. and one over 30 years ago, I decided to take a picture of the fish in the net. I think I'm out of practice. The fish was stick measured as I try to avoid bump boarding once the temps are over 70. Water temp was 71 this morning. In fact, I don't keep one in the boat in the summer unless I think I have a better chance for a larger fish (like at night).

I think it's a tiger because the stripes run clear across its back.

Never took it out of the water and it swam right away.

Also tried casting a depth raider a bit deeper, took a tube run down the triangle, and cast shallow around Strawberry and in the Shipyards (un13). Had a couple follows in the shipyards, one small one over 30 inches. Almost always get follows there, but few hook-ups.

Also took a practice troll around UN13. Moss wasn't bad at all. Time to do some serious trolling, too. Larry's right about night. Got to get myself out in the dark again.

Especially since I haven't caught a fish after 6:30 am. Three fish, all between 6 and 6:30 am. Of course, fishing these light easterlies everytime out isn't the best for daytime. So I guess I should be happy with three.

I've only spent about 9 hours in the river so far. Several follows, one ripped up tube, one tiger. I think I'll have to work a bit harder to catch the real deal.

Nice fish. Looks like a tiger to me.

Nice report, Tony.  Some good reading there!

Great report Tony.  3 fish in 9 hours is very impressive!

I wish! Actually, 9 hours in the river with one fish. About 20 in the harbor with 2 fish. So 3 fish in about 29. Sorry for the confusion.

Tony...at least your consistent in your results. 1 in 9 hrs, 2 in 20, so no matter where you're fishing, you're still averaging just about 10 hrs per fish (and your standard deviation is tight).  Just try not to catch that curve breaker, OK, like the one more in the next 50?  Ouch!

Fished the river solo today.  Other than carp and the occasional bass feeding on the surface, the only fish I saw was the 32" musky I landed.  The dink hit a gold with white tails ROB Ninja Tube.  I spent the day casting UN1,2 and 13.  I need to get in casting shape for The Rock.  I'm not too keen on jigging, but I like releasing when I am successful jigging.  You've got to love a flick of the wrist and a splash good bye.  Speaking of flicks, I'll be out tomorrow after watching my Motor Island Screaming Aquatic Apes' team captain Caesar's latest smash hit, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.  Can't wait.  Apes have risen and Caesar is home.
