Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

I was at the American Fisheries Society symposium in Bflo today & listened to Jonah Withers talk about their Sturgeon tracking. He said that so far after all the years they've been doing it (4?), they've shown no evidence of sturgeon crossover from the Lake into the Upper.

I also heard that a Lake St. Clair telemetery musky was found near central L Erie by the walleye guys. I'll try to get more info on that.

The lack of cross-over is interesting. We know that sturgeon are found in the harbor and in the river, just like muskies. Hard to believe that neither cross over.

Tony..it sure is interesting. In past years Jonah had put a couple/three receivers at the exit of the lake (entrance to the Upper). Since there has been no evidence of crossover, he might not place receivers in those locations. It's essentially a waste of his receivers. Chris & Jonah are talking about that because we will want the head of the River covered. If Jonah was going to have enough receivers to cover crossover, we wouldn't need to put ours there & could use them in other locations in the Harbor.

They have tracked Sturgeon though going all the way down toward Barcelona & maybe Erie, PA & back. The area in the lake, outside the breakwall is holding a resident, self sustaining population of Sturgeon. They seem to like & do well in that area
