Images

Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

With Armageddon apparently hitting Niagara County and armed only with a cooler full of ham sandwiches and cookies, a few fishing sticks and a Ouija board, Jojo and I hit the river this afternoon around 3.  The skies to the north were ominous to say the least.

We jigged, cast and trolled in UN4.  While we were casting, Jojo had a fish on twitching a crankbait right next to the boat.  When Joe called "fish on" and as he was setting the hook, a very small musky went for a ride from one side of Joe's boat to the other.  I'm not completely sure about this, but I think as the fish was flying through the air I heard the little fella with his little musky voice scream "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!".  Good dink release and I'm sure the mini-musky had a blast.  When the lightning surrounded us on three sides, we ran back to Sheridan to wait out the storm.  The rain never really hit us hard, but we were happy to see the jet black clouds scoot away

About a half hour later we were back on the water.

We tried UN3, 2, 13, 1 and 2, in that order.  Jojo had a fish on for a few seconds on a Believer off one of his balls in UN2 around 7.  Later in UN1 he had a decent follow on one of his Shmo Double Baloneys with extra mustard (tinsel).

Up until dark all I caught was the previously mentioned ham sandwiches and cookies.  As we started our troll in UN2 at 9:20, I caught a 35" on a jointed Depth Raider in black perch.  Nice little fish.  I also had a rip a few hours later.

We called it a day/night around midnight.  Tommy and Carl were just getting off when we were done packing up.  I'm back to work for two days and then we're off to Nipissing for four wonderful days of Canadian Shield fishing.  Wish Carrie and I luck.  We'll need it.

Thanks for a very fun (as always) day on the water, Joe!
