Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Before I get to the final day, let me report on the 29th.  I fished with Mike Crehan in the South Gap on Wednesday. The small boat harbor was nice and smooth. Ha! That's the harbor and not the gap. Water muddy, winds building. A bunch of boats trolling about. Then the winds shooting down the gap from City Hall, I think.  Mike said he couldn't steer the boat due to the wind and it is a good thing my float suit is waterproof.  We got soaked.  Scott Kitchen ran into a problem with the rod that connects his kicker to his main motor and he had to call it. Mike and I trailered up and went to Sheridan Drive.  No way were we trying to launch in those winds.  OK, see you tomorrow.

We met at Sheridan Thursday morning.  Our last chance to get lucky. Had to pull out some large branches at the ramp.  Quite a few ducks relaxing near the launch when a bunch of shots from duck hunters rang out.  The ducks near me were not the targets but they hightailed it out of there, pronto. Launched with a few splashes but this is the last day so let's go! There were three boats out there. Was that a good sign? Let's see:  there was Mike and me.  Then Homeland Security. Then the Coast Guard. Maybe the ducks were telling us something. Not even 30 minutes in when I get a 52", oh, that was a typo - it was 25". Yes, I apologize to that little dink. All 25 inches of it. At least the hi-fin trophy diver I got from Larry Jones got me a fish on the last day of the season. All of a sudden, the winds that were due at 3PM decided to arrive a lot earlier. Now I know what Joyce feels like when company comes earlier than expected.  The big difference is that our company doesn't get blasted with gale winds and doused with river water. We see flocks of ducks flying toward Strawberry.  I yell to them: "Go back, go back".  They don't hear me but the duck hunters are bad shots. We call it a day and surrender to the winds.  But there is hope for something neat.  On the way home I can stop at Suzie Q's Barbecue for a little pig. Mmmmm. Pull up to the door and see a sign that says: " Sorry, closed this week as we have been blessed with our first grandchild".  What a bummer.  I have four grandchildren and I didn't take a week off for any one of them.(But I have taken them to quite a few places to eat)

So my season is over.  Float suit hanging in anticipation of next November (or the Canadian side if Scott K can swing it)

See you all at the Christmas Party!!!!!!!!!

Only 1 dink AND no Suzy Q's??? That sounds like a terrible day!!!

And what kind of snacks did you have on board, Frank?  Any oranges, nuts, twizzlers? How about chocolate chip cookies? The last time I went with you I left the boat 10 lbs heavier...and it wasn't from RO jig heads!

See ya' at the Christmas party!

Frank, sorry for selling you a Dink Doodling Jtd Hi-Fin!
