Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

So Veronica and her sister Susan wanted to see fire works so we went out on the boat in front of Strawberry Island.  Why would we do that you say, well in case you didn't know you can see at least 20 fireworks displays at the same time in a boat in front (south) of Strawberry Island.  So we hit the water at 830 PM and stayed out until about 11 PM.  I only manged to land a 28" wet sock (walleye) in front of strawberry casting a natural perch colored perch bait (say that five times fast), but the fireworks were great.  At the end there was about a 20 minute display right behind the main docks at Rich Marine and we just sat in the Black Rock Channel and had the best seats in the house.

I can just picture the scene, Scott. Everyone has their head up admiring the fireworks & you've go your head down looking in the water admiring the next big musky to come up. Glad everyone enjoyed themselves!

The most frightened I have ever been on the water was a July 4th fireworks slash fishing outing. Between dodging clueless boaters I managed a dink on a tube (of all things) and was almost creamed a few times by maximum wake pleasure boaters with a few too many sarsaparillas under their belts. Scott, I will never question your bravery. I'd rather fish the lake in gail force winds in a bathtub without a drain plug than venture out for fireworks.

On the 4th, Joyce and I went to UB to see our granddaughter Kaitlyn perform with the Erie County Wind Ensemble.  She plays a mean bassoon. Couldn't fish in the lake at UB.  Stayed fpr fireworks.  Then waited 45 minutes for my car to move one inch. Good thing I gassed up the day before.

I went to Conesus on the 3rd with my brother and Mr Toothy for the fireworks there. They put on a great display at the north end near Vitale Park. Got there around noon to get a parking spot at the launch. Cruised around the lake for a couple hours then went to the park to swim and cook burgers. Water temps were around 80 everywhere except it was 83 at the park where we swam. But with all the people there, the p/h might have been a little off.

I have been going there most years for quite a while. They put on a great fireworks display. There is also a good view from the park. I did that one year when the boat was being repaired. I heard this year, at about 11pm, a boat with 11 people crashed into another boat with 2 people that was anchored. the boat that had 11 people sank. I don't know if anyone was injured.

Three boats at a marina on Irondequoit Bay burned up on the night of the 4th. My guess is from fireworks.
