Last fall eight members participated in the inagural NMA fantasy football league, and all eight seemed happy with the experience. For those interested, Joe Dolan beat me in the championship game.

Using Yahoo! Fantasy, I have created a NMA Fantasy Baseball League.  Our league will be a points league which is similar to fantasy football in that teams will play weekly head-to-head games against an opponent. The team registering the higher score will be awarded one win. Much of what players do on the field effects their score.

The winner of our league will receive two years of free club membership. Since I am a fantasy baseball savant, I will recuse myself from winning this prize. If, in some amazing twist of fate, I don't win the league championship, I will award the winner a Legend Plow from my own stockpile in addition to the free two-year membership.

In my opinion, baseball is the greatest game ever invented and fantasy baseball is much more interesting and user involved than other fantasy sports. At the very least you will learn the Major Leagues and come playoff time you will have an excellent knowledge of the game, making viewing the spectacle even more interesting.  At the very least it's free. It's fun. Some of your buddies are playing. You could win a Plow and two-years of not paying club dues. Why not join?
