Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

"Scott Hale, the head of Ohio fisheries management for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, reports that the best is yet to come."

“We have estimated today’s population of walleye that are two years old, or older, is about 116 million,” said Hale. “Our forecast for 2021 is a walleye population of 151 million.”

If these numbers are correct the Emerald Shiner in Lake Erie will go the way of the Dodo Bird.

I should probably do some walleye fishing in the spring to try to help lower the number of those pests. They can possibly eat themselves, and everything else, out of house and home. But maybe the walleye themselves will provide a substitute forage for some?

I’m with you Tony. First time in a long time I failed to meet my quota of perch during ice fishing season and figure walleye will need to fill remaining freezer space..

There was an ice fishing season?

I've been trying to make a dent in the 'eye population but it looks like I haven't been successful. Looks like there's nothing else to do except try harder!

I say we hold a club walleye outing slash fish fry after the season opens and the coronavirus restrictions are lifted
I like the idea of a Club Walleye Outing and fish fry.I have a double propane stove & two deep fry pans we can use.
