Scott you are not entirely wrong here. But every once in a great while the rewards can be truly great in the harbor/lake. I probably have the worst track record in the harbor over all other anglers who have ever plied her waters. However, I did land very robust 51 incher a few years back around those walls. It all depends on what your goals are. I decide to focus my efforts on the harbor and open lake more often than not come fall, these decisions can be real release number crushers. Yet as we all know the true behemoths of WNY dwell in the lake.

When I think I might fish the harbor for a spell I just stay home and beat my head with a baseball bat for a few hours. I find this has the same effect as trolling the wasteland.
