Followed Tom up the river from the launch last night and started fishing a little downriver from him. I troll about 50 yds and look over at Tom just in time to see him dipping his net into the water. That was quick. Troll past him to see if it's something picture worthy. Nope, so I'm on my way. 15 minutes later my phone goes off and Tom lets me know he just released another one. I am just ending our talk and my rod gets hit. Short tagging session and I'm back on my way looking for a second fish for my trip also. Within 10 minutes I hookup again and slide the net under a mid 30s fish. I keep the head up at the surface so I won't have to deal with hooks catching in the net. Error. Fish is hanging over the center of the net with plenty of energy and it catapults itself out of the water and clears the rim of the net by at least a foot. Fish goes one way while the lure goes the other way and luckily I raised the rod up quick enough for the 3 trebles to swing harmlessly over my head. End of the action for both of us, but it sure was a fun flurry..

Must have been a hot spree. The other boat that was out fishing it's way up from beaver did 4 fish from 8:10-10:15 also. All smaller fish as well.
