Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

NMA Members,

I've received an email regarding the DEC Summer Camps. If you know any youth who is interested in being sent to one of these camps by the NMA, please let me know. They do not need to be an NMA member, just needs to be between the ages of 11 and 17. Registration starts January 24, 2018, so it would be best if any interested party be funded by the NMA by that date. The camps fill up quickly. The email is as follows:

"Dear Valued DEC Summer Camps Sponsor,

I am contacting you with updates for the 2018 DEC Summer Camps program.Sponsors may begin depositing funds in their account beginning Monday, November 27, 2017. Online registration will open Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Applications will be submitted through the online registration program available through a link from the DEC summer camps websitewww.dec.ny.gov/education/29.html.

Now in its 71st year, the DEC Summer Camps program offers week-long adventures in conservation education for children ages 11-17. DEC operates four residential camps for children: Camp Colby in Saranac Lake (Franklin County); Camp DeBruce in Livingston Manor (Sullivan County); Camp Rushford in Caneadea (Allegany County), and Pack Forest in Warrensburg (Warren County). All four camps now offer programing for children aged 11-13 and aged 14-17. New for 2018, there are two 14-17-year-old weeks at both Camp Colby and DeBruce. This year Camp Pack Forest will host an Outdoor Adventure Week 2.0 (Week 5:  July 22-27).

All four camps will operate for seven one-week sessions (Sunday to Friday) beginning June 24, 2018 except for Pack Forest, which operates for eight weeks. Drop-off time is 3:00 PM on Sunday and the closing ceremony and pick-up time is Friday at 4:30 PM. One week of camp remains $350 per child for the 2018 year and includes all meals, programs and trips.
