Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Is it bad to see hybrids in the system since they will spawn with the pure strain females and produce unfertilized eggs?

when blind snagging for suckers was legal there would be a run of northerns along with them in late March/early April. we would get northerns full of eggs.  when going out at night with our coleman lanterns the northerns would be tight up against the banks where the overhanging tree roots would break the speed of the current and if the creek flooded over its banks we would see northerns in inches of water.  this was common.  we could boot them right onto land.  this was decades ago during the time when muskies were plentiful in the river, but I never saw a muskie up the creek.  the pike were miles from the river in williamsville.

Carl, its funny you mention that because I heard that steelhead (or possibly salmon) used to be plentiful beneath glens falls and people used to baseball bat them when they jumped. That is just what I heard, Im not sure when steelhead were planted in the lake.
