Let me warm up my sarcasm machine... The "fishable" areas of the Lower River are extremely dangerous. From what I hear the lower is really, really far away (at least 12 hours from the Buffalo area) and the only access to launches is via logging roads, and a ferry ride over the river Styx. It's shorelines are ugly and fishing there isn't even remotely peaceful. I'm not sure if musky fishing is legal there and even it it is, BIG muskies never ever hit trolled lures, especially lures with some silver on them, when the water temps approach 40 degrees in the late fall. I wouldn't suggest musky fishing there ever and whatever you do, don't pull a Legend Perchbait in Silver Flash or a Mr. Toothy in Rainbow Trout.
