Gerry, I got a call back from someone in the Amherst Bldg Dept. They allow boats to be parked on a paved surface, front or rear. Looks like Williamsville feels more exclusive than Amherst.

Thank you Tony, I was just going to post the info I received from the "lady who answers the phone" in the Town of Wlliamsville offices. So Gerry, your boat has to be parked in a rear yard. But there is a loophole that some smartass lawyer will charge you $100 to bring to your attention. It doesn't say YOUR rear yard. So park it in your neighbor's rear yard. Then the smartass lawyer will charge you another $100 to beat the trespass charge!!!

Thank you! I think the backyard could be a option but my next door neighbor has a boat in his front driveway and it is never ticketed. There a HUGE cigarette speed boat on the next Street, that has to be at least 26"(I think bigger) and they have it in the front yard also. It must be one of those things that they have to say what it is when questioned, but look the other way when it occurs.

This is from the Williamsville Village Code:

§ 112-21. Residential parking.

B. Residential parking area design standards.

(3) A trailer, boat trailer, camp trailer, recreational vehicle trailer or portable hot tub trailer shall be parked or stored only in a rear yard. Any trailer in excess of 26 feet in length shall be stored only within a wholly enclosed building.

So if you live in the Village of Williamsville, you boat trailer must be parked in a garage or rear yard. Whether or not the Village enforces its ordinances is another matter. Often, they do not enforce these things unless they receive a complaint.
I DON'T KNOW IF THE GUY GAVE…tag:niagaramuskyassociation.ning.com,2012-09-22:6476506:Comment:95112012-09-22T00:40:27.040ZJerry Millerhttps://niagaramuskyassociation.ning.com/profile/JerryMiller

John I think it is alright, as long it is registered. If it is unregistered it would be considered a like junk auto. Which is not legal and for good reason. Nobody wants junk vehicles around.

I live in Williamsville, and yes you can store a boat in your driveway provided its not an aircraft carrier. How many rod holders do you think I could put on an aircraft carrier? Probably not enough to be illegal on St. Clair.
