Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

I have been toying around with writing an article about lost giant muskies and the sick and second guessing associated with losing a monster.  Here's what I need from you guys:

  • Your stories about huge fish you've lost during the fight or landing.  I'm not talking about a 39-incher that threw the hooks or even a 45" you caught a glimpse of before your line went slack.  I am talking about true monsters that slipped away.
  • I don't need you to be Melville.  I'll print as many words as you want to write.
  • I am interested in the estimated size, location, lure, situation and more importantly the gut punch feeling you may have experienced afterward.

Don't post your responses here.  I want to print your stories in the newsletter.  You can let me know you're putting something together for me here, but zap your articles to: scotthenrymckee@yahoo.com.

Thanks!

I sent you a quick email with a cool story. Please proofread for me. I wrote it in bed at 5am. Lol
No problem. Thank you, John!
Thank you John, Jojo and Andrew for your submissions. I'd like a few more stories to round out this article. No one out there has ever lost a monster? C'mon, gang. This article is going to be very entertaining. Your contribution will only make it better.
Thank you, Tony!
Thank you, Carl!
