Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Hi Team,

I thought I'd play a little virtual show and tell with you this morning.  I am always on the lookout this time of year for gear to make the last few weeks of the season more comfortable when the temps drop.  The snowfall of the last two days made me glad I made the following purchases.

1. RefrigiWear Extreme Hybrid Sweatshirt - RefrigiWear is a company that makes clothing for industrial freezer workers.  This sweatshirt isn't really a sweatshirt. It has the feel of a winter jacket.  The zippers on the front closure seems durable enough.  The cuffs have thumb holes for a better wind resistant fit.  The hood isn't too big which I like, since I hate having my peripheral vision blocked.  It has insulation upon insulation.  The only forseable problem is the exterior is water resistant, not repellant.  Fortunately my Guidewear fits over it without a problem.   The garment is warm. Really warm.

2. Fortress Balaclava - I guess this company got their start on a TV show called Shark Tank, whatever the hell that is.  I love balaclavas. I've been wearing them for years and years in the cold.  They keep my neck warm and offer more protection for my head and face.  The problem with balaclavas is the warmer they are the thicker the material.  Why is this bad?  I can't hear as well as I use to. (I don't do much of anything better than I use to besides napping and sitting.)  The Fortress Balaclava is not made from acrylic or wool.  It is made from lightweight foam.  It weighs practically nothing, but insulates tremendously.  The cape you see is a slick fabric you tuck inside your top layer.  I advise putting on the balaclava and then your top layer.  This ensures you won't have wind blow on the back of your neck.  This baby is expensive, but it is really warm and windproof.  It remains warm when wet.  It weighs practically nothing and I can hear while wearing it. It's a winner.
