Long-time NMA member Pat Fox passed away. Pat was a true gentleman and a great walleye fisherman. Here's his obituary:

FOX - Patrick L.
June 21, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Lynda A. Fox. Loving father of Patrick W., Debra A., Donna M. (Andy Lauzau) and Denise S. (Matthew) Schoaff. Dear Papa of Richard Falk, Angela (Christopher) Nowicki, Ashley (Kenneth) Correa, Justin Vampotic and Mary Schoaff. Great-grandfather of Farrah, Mason and Savannah Falk, Ethan and Cody Correa and Noah Nowicki. Brother of the late John Fox.
Survived by nieces, nephews and many friends. The family will receive friends at the C. MERTZ AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 911 Englewood Ave., on Thursday, June 23rd from 5-7 PM where a Funeral Service will follow at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat's memory to People, Inc.

called Tom Page when I found out about Pat passing away. Tom told me some stories about he and Pat longline trolling for 'Eyes at the head of the river and how they'd troll around the rocks and other nasties, sometimes in only two-feet of water. Heavy current and rocks at night? Not on a bet would I try that. Pat knew the spots dead.

When I first joined the club I didn't know any of the other musky anglers or members. I did recognize Pat that first meeting, not by name, but as "the orange hat guy.". Remember that thing? It was more dried musky slime that hat. You could spot Pat's hat in the south gap from the north gap.

I was trolling the harbor that day in 2000 when Pat caught his monstrosity of a 54-inch musky with Larry. I actually saw Pat smile. I hope he's smiling now. Rest easy, Foxy.
