Had to abort another musky trip

Jim and I had to abort another trip to the Niagara yesterday. Same problem. Truck lost power about halfway there and had to turn back. I had cleared the codes the day before but the check engine light wasn't coming on any more before that. On the trip yesterday, it lost power, it would shake and slow down when I pushed on the accelerator and sometimes I could not maintain highway speed but we made it home ok. The check engine light never came on and it seems to run ok when not towing. I am thinking the problem may be a clogged catalytic converter. I am beginning to wonder if I will be able to get on the water again before the season ends.
