Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

New Article: Does Your Boat Scare The Fish?

I have been pondering this question for quite some time and I have presented similar questions on this forum in the past. This article (see link below) discusses a few things that could possibly make a difference. Maybe some do matter and maybe others don't, Maybe some matter more while casting or trolling. I also have always wondered about playing music and have lately only played music while trolling since the lines may be far enough away that it doesn't matter, but who really knows.Have any…See More

Curious about Unity Island Project

I was looking at a past newsletter where there was an article that talked about a Unity Island wetland restoration project. I wasn't sure where it was so I googled it and found this video that was made by the Army Corps of Engineers and posted on YouTube by Buffalo News. It says that they used material that was dredged from the Buffalo R. to fill in the pond. They are using the material to fill in the pond to create a wetland environment but I am wondering how it can be used without concern of…See More

Stephen, thanks for sharing the article. It's nice to compare notes My classroom received our annual batch of brown trout on October 12th this year. We house them in a 75 gallon aquarium with a chiller unit set at 50 degrees F. Our first alvein hatched 2 days ago. The students wanted to add variety to our young trout diet, so we have fed them live foods in addition to trout chow. Newly hatched brine shrimp, amphipods, blood worms, wax worms and several fruit flies cultures allow us to provide the young fry with a diverse diet. Last year we releasedo 89 plump young trout up to just under 4 inches into Lake Erie at the mouth of Smokes creek in Lackawanna.

Thanks much, Steve. God willing & the creek don't rise, I'll be there. There might be a few other fly-guys who I know that might show up.
