Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

October 20th Fishing Report

Fished the river yesterday 10:45AM to 6:45PM with Jim Reynolds. Jim got a 42"r about 11:30AM trolling a shallow Toothy. We saw several other boats targeting muskies.  One of them was the Mark Anderson yacht. The power boats started blasting around in the mid-afternoon. We had no other musky action. Some areas had quite a bit of floating grass. Overall a beautiful day to be on the water. You may have heard me cheering wildly when Micah Hyde foiled the Dolphins onside kick. What an asset he is to…See More

Sept 3 Fishing Report

Toothy and I fished yesterday in the East Niagara R. from 12:30 PM til 8 PM. First time on the river this year. No luck. Water temp was about 73 and it was very comfortable weather conditions. Casted and trolled from Ontario St. to the power wires north or the SGI bridge. Floating weeds weren't bad above Strawberry Isl. but got progressively worse from there down. Made a stop to say hello to Mark Anderson at Mid River Marine. Didn't see any other musky anglers. It was nice to get out since it…See More

Stephen, thanks for sharing the article. It's nice to compare notes My classroom received our annual batch of brown trout on October 12th this year. We house them in a 75 gallon aquarium with a chiller unit set at 50 degrees F. Our first alvein hatched 2 days ago. The students wanted to add variety to our young trout diet, so we have fed them live foods in addition to trout chow. Newly hatched brine shrimp, amphipods, blood worms, wax worms and several fruit flies cultures allow us to provide the young fry with a diverse diet. Last year we releasedo 89 plump young trout up to just under 4 inches into Lake Erie at the mouth of Smokes creek in Lackawanna.
