Images

Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

I talked with the DEC today & they're not holding out much hope for tagging in the Harbor on Sunday. Forecasts are for 15 knots gusting to 24 both Sat & Sun, which could kick up a lot of silt. They're still open to it but not very optimistic.

It's not as catastrophic as it sounds. They don't HAVE to tag in the fall but wanted the jump on their spring tagging. There have been a few instances in which fish tagged in the spring "disappeared" and had no activity in the harbor, but magically appeared the following spring. Tagging is a little stressful & might be affecting the spawning patterns. Their thinking was to do the last two transmitters in the fall & watch for them in spring 2020. If they don't do it, not a big deal. They'll do what they have to do in the spring.

Regardless, the tagging doesn't affect the Witteck. If it's still scheduled, it's scheduled. Anyone fishing the Harbor won't need to call Scott with a report for the DEC. A decision wll be made Sat, & I'll post when I hear something
