Talked to Beaver Island Park Manger

Good Day

     Talked to Andrew Hillman, Beaver Island Park Manger about our " Wrap the Trees " project. He likes the idea for a longer term solution then the temporary fix of exterminating the beaver.  We have his approval to proceed.  We are still waiting for a response from the DEC. Mr. Hillman  is concerned about constricting the trees with the wire down the road. I told him that we will use plastic slip ties to connect the wire rings so that they will pop if necessary. He also wants us to map ( and maybe GPS) the trees so that they can be  found if we fall off course.  We will not be allowed to do inside the " Endangered Species" boundry  of the Bald Eagle.  That  side of the island will be a fall project.

   We will be needing a " Wrap the Trees" project manger.
