Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Below is an article from the BN Riverkeepers newsletter.  The link within the article outlines the different options that will be prevented to stop the Asian carp & the Army Corps will be looking for public input.  I'm going to try to make this one.  The Great Lakes are taking a beating as it is without the carp making their way in.

Public Meeting on Study to Prevent Asian Carp Threats to the Great Lakes

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the White House Council on Environmental Quality are hosting a public meeting to discuss the Great Lakes and Mississippi River Interbasin Study, or GLMRIS, report that was submitted to Congress Jan. 6, 2014. The report presents a range of options and technologies available to prevent the spread of aquatic nuisance species, such as Asian carp, between the Great Lakes and Mississippi River basins through aquatic connections.

Meeting info:

February 13th, 2014, from 4 - 7 p.m.

Downtown Buffalo Central Library Auditorium
1 Lafayette Square
Buffalo, NY 14203

Public attendance and comments are encouraged. Please consider attending to let the Army Corps know that further delays are unacceptable and action needs to happen now to protect our Great Lakes.
