Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Team Beefcake hit the River from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  We would have been out sooner, but the nice folks at Kinko's wanted to keep me there for 45 minutes while they processed the newsletter order.  Mike Fortunate and I trolled for most of the time, with a little casting thrown in at everyone's favorite polluter.  We marked all kinds of fun stuff on the graph and we pulled hot and noisy lures around.  Even my secret weapon, The Page Jailbreak Believer (stated like The Ohio State University), let us down.  I fear I am doomed.  The water was light chocolate milk to brown guacamole.  It should be really good in a day or two provided we don't receive any heavy winds.

Mike and I tied in our daily emerald shiner snagging contest with four each.  I also snagged a nice gizzard shad in the east river on a monster Believer.  The poor guy must have thought he was hit by a truck.

Today's topic of conversation revolved around Napoleon's hegemony of Europe and his ill-conceived invasion of Russia.  Napoleon declaring himself Emperor of France turned the conversation to Beethoven's Symphony #3, "Eroica", which Ludvig was going to dedicate to his once hero. The 3rd is still my favorite symphony, although Mike was stupefied that I didn't prefer the 9th. I like the 3rd, just because it gets forgotten with all of the focus on the the 5th and 9th. (My preference sort of mirrors my trolling habits, when jigging is the best game in town.) But seriously, who can argue with the No. 9?  We both agreed it is, and will remain the greatest musical achievement of all-time.  Mike did however make some compelling arguments for Frank Zappa's Joe's Garage and Joy Division's, Love Will Tear Us Apart.    Needless to say, I hope to hear Ode to Joy tomorrow in the Harbor as my drag slowly pulls heading into the Coke Channel.

Good luck out there all you twenty-four hour party people!
