fishing report

Fished today with Scott K.  I brought a 34" fish to the boat at 9:35 and his net broke while scooping it in.  A bolt and some duct tape had us back fishing and shortly after he caught a scuffed up looking 38"er.  A few minutes later I brought a 40" fish into the net .  We decided to keep working the area when Scott had me turn and look north.  He asked if that was rain and we watched it move upriver in a wall.  I hurried into rain gear while Scott got soaked and just kept fishing.  I hooked up again during the rain but it came off near the boat. Small fish.  After the rain a fish followed my tube back to the boat and let me lead it around like a puppy but wouldn't open its mouth. We made a move upriver for the moon overhead period and saw fish on the move swimming and  breaking the surface but all we hooked was an old umbrella net with rope still attached and a 4' piece of iron that looked like a piece of the Peace bridge.  MY fish were on tubes, Scotts' on a swimshad with a blade off the back.

Well sounds like they were biting well in the morning, knew i should have gotten out earlier! fished from 2 to 7 and had 2 lazy followers cast/ jigging a black ninja near frenchmans
