Notes

Images

Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Fished for bass today, and came back to this note in my Truck door handle. Was it JoJo? Figured it could be someone in the club, who saw my Red October sticker on the truck. Odd thing to come back to! Maybe I should get an NMA sticker next.

Amusing notes aside, did you catch any bass?

No bass to be had,
I did however catch a golden sucker that had to be pushing 3 pounds. On a 6XD crankbait too. Biggest I've ever seen; I thought it was a carp initially!

The rudd are 3+ pounds these days. Things are giant and have no trouble chasing down lures. Weird for a susposed plant eater

What were water temps? 38? That's some die hard bassin.

Was a sucker for sure, had a hell of a time getting s treble out of that rubber mouth. I could be underestimating the weight- it was huge. Water temp was 40 in places; and I was really just there to shake down the boat, and test some new gear before my fishing season begins in earnest. Nearly forgot the drain plug, backed the trailer in the water with the straps still buckled tight. I like to make those mistakes early, and by myself; that way by the opener I look like a pro.
Now if I could just avoid running into a channel wall in front of Scott this year, I'll be all set.

Hopefully it warms up soon. Spent monday out on erie from the catt to sturgeon. 35.8 best I found outside the catt's mud cloud anyway. Ontario was mud on the inside sunday while chasing but it's warmer than erie which turns the bar into a ghost town. Hopefully the wind and rain will stop so it can all set up for spring time fun soon.
