Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

The 2012 John Henning Memorial Tournament will take place from 7AM to 4PM on Sunday, December 2nd in the lower Niagara River. The tournament is open to club members only and the cost is $25 per angler. To enter the JHMT, contact Adam Kazmark via the site or call him at (623) 205-9939. So far we have a field of eleven: Scott Kitchen, Ray Mahtook, Frank Stachowiak, Len Kozlowski, Adam Kazmark, John Miller, Jerry Miller, Dave Martin, Jim Reynolds, John Pensyl and I.
Ray and his lovely wife Kathy are holding a post tournament pow-wow with pizza and wings. The cost of the food will be deducted from the entry fees.
Have you ever fished the lower? It is peaceful, protected and gorgeous (that pun never gets old for me). It may also be your best shot at a true monster locally and December is when you want to be down there. Take a look below at my and Ray’s 48” from last year. I assure you, a fish like that keeps you warm and fuzzy all winter. Enter today.
We're up to eleven anglers for the JHMT. I forgot Dave Martin and Jim Reynolds! How could I forget Dave and Toothy? John Pensyl is entering as well.
We'll be easy to spot.
Look for two guys with frozen snot in their moustaches ... lol
I think we are meeting at Ray's afterward and having pizza and wings. I think Ray may be getting a clown or a magician as well. I'll give him a call and let you know.
Count myself and Carl Schenk in for the Henning! I've fished the lower many times for salmon, steelhead, lakers, browns, and bass but I dont know squat about trolling it for muskies! So I figure I'll just pretend like its the harbor and keep doing roundie rounds! lol. Anyone who might want to give up a little trolling knowledge for the lower would be greatly appreciated but is not tax deductible.
Troll up the shore and down the shore. Cast the shore. Dirty water? Fish hot and loud. Green water? Fish natural, rainbow, white or silver. Big works. Eddies are good. Weeds are good. Drop offs are good. Don't bother with the middle of the river. Bring boat snacks. Be ready to launch your boat when you go down the hill to the Sand Docks. Don't eat the yellow snow and stay away from the brown acid.
Thanks for the advice! I'll use all your tips!
Jim Reynolds will not be attending, has to work.
John Miller will be my boat partner for the tourney tomorrow.
Well I'm out for the Henning... I was loading the equipment in the boat and checked to make sure it would crank over and nothing! Again! 3 weeks in the shop for this problem & i was told it was fixed... well I guess not! I've lost the entire month of November on my boat with this crap! Back to the shop on Monday... if you listen closely you"ll probally be able to hear me ripping someone a new ass! If any one has any room on their boat for the tourny, I know Carl Schenk was really looking forward to going. Please give him a call if you need a partner 632-4431. Good luck to all!!!!
