Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Captain Larry Jones and Chris Kempf will tell us all about their six-week escapade into the deepest, darkest and longest-away-from-civilization and ice cream jungles of Guyana, South America, where they survived on canned ham, Powdered Toast Man cereal (Ren & Stimpy reference), sewer rats and Guinea Pigs. They slept in hammocks under a canopy while dodging giant, jumping spiders and ravenous caiman. Apparently our dynamic duo almost never, ever got off the boat, although some would say they were off their rockers for spending that much time in the bush. I don’t think I could do it. (By “don’t think”, I really mean “know”.) (“Roughing it” for me is not having a Blu-ray player for more than a few hours. I mean when it comes to creature comforts, I’m about as tough as limp spaghetti or milk-saturated Melba toast.) (I’m the kind of guy who needs to bring a blanket (I actually refer to it as my “Super Whooby) to the movies, in order to not cause quite a scene. I mean, I cry whenever I divide something and there’s a remainder!)
Hope and Gary Melnyk, who celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a trip to this godforsaken, back alley of the world, will also chime in from time-to-time and offer a semi-sane perspective on the whole affair.
Silliness aside, Larry, Chris, Hope and Gary caught a lot of fish and they shared an adventure that few get to experience. They will tell us all of their crazy stories, and show us all their pictures and videos of the HUGE and exotic fish they caught. I guess Chris caught a massive catfish, and I for one can’t wait to see this monster.
We will recap our 20th Anniversary Awards banquet, which was a rousing success.
Hopefully we'll hear a bunch of successful fishing reports from anglers targeting northern pike, walleye and inland tiger muskies.
We will have T-shirts and all of the usual goodies for sale. Hopefully we’ll have a prototype 20th Anniversary NMA T-shirt to show off to see if there is any interest in mass production.
Thanks again to everyone who contributed to and attended our banquet! I’m sure you had a great time, and the amazing success of the event really means a lot to me.
Scott, XOXOXOXO
