Just heard from Connie at the DEC she says that it is imperative that we get started wrapping the trees right away.
Full letter is below.
Which day or days of the week do we want to work?
Maybe Saturday and Sundays?
Maybe longer work days?
Who has their boat ready for action?
Besides the Andy and Dan ferry!

Connie's letter:
Hi! Well I just had the consulting firm doing the work on the waterbirds mention this to me in a staff meeting yesterday. They said the beaver is taking down 30-40" trees on Motor. I think that work to fence all the remaining trees is imperitive. If you are willing, then I am willing too, and I can have a tech help us out too. What do you think. I have three rolls of wire.

Jojo...imperative is right.  We know what work has to be done so it shouldn't be too hard to get everyone organized.

1. I think Saturday and/or Sundays will work best, for now. A couple of years ago we had a cleanup on a Sat & there was a good turnout.

2. How's the ice situation in the river.  Will the Lacko's need an ice-breaker?

3. Do the DEC or Corps of Eng have a boat we can use?

4. We should get the tech that Connie mentioned

5. Should I send the letters to the agencies within the next couple of days?

6. Count me in pretty much any day we can get out & I'm also available for pre-work (like pre-cutting fencing). Just need to check my schedule.

7. Can you bring Volunteer Service Agreements to our Apr 14th meeting?
