Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

I detest America's obsession with the orgy of consumerism that has relegated my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving, to that of a staging point for early morning shopping binges.  On the other hand I am always in for a sweet deal on fishing stuff.  How does that old saying go? If you can't beat 'em, join 'em?  What a hypocrite...  I thought we could post any screaming black Friday fishing deals we might come across here.

Does the club still have an in on survival suits? I'm getting old and cold.
Ha! You sound like me! That deal dried up when my buddy moved to Virginia.
I will contact DiVal Safety tomorrow to attempt to get our members a discount. Carl, Tommy and anyone else who fishes alone when the water temps get cold, I'd love to see you guys holding big muskies wearing a float suit, if you get my drift.
Want to stay toasty warm? The Cabela's Polarweight long underwear is like wearing a fleece blanket. https://www.cabelas.com/catalog/browse/base-layers/_/N-1102735/No-0...

20% off everything until November 26th.

Scott, I do wear a Frabill I-float suit when the air temp is cold enough. Although designed for ice fishing it does have a Coast Guard approval as a PFD. I find it too warm for some trips so don't usually let the water temp be the deciding factor. I do feel better on 3" of ice tho..lol

Carl, with water temps at 47 degrees how long do you think you have without float?I guess with a regular life jacket we can at least find you,not sure if in time!
I spoke with our Strearns connection. He should have a price for me on Wednesday for the Challenger Anti Exposure Work Suit. If you don't have one and you fish in the fall, winter or early spring (especially by yourself) you should consider treating yourself to an early Christmas present. It might turn out to be the best thing you've ever purchased.

I'll order one up. Deez old bones can't take it anymore

It looks like the Stearns suits will run $375. Me sized suits may be more. I'll get more details from my buddy after Thanksgiving. Let me know if you are interested.
