Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Capt Larry Jones was looking for a partner to fish the Harbor tonight.  I didn't have to think too hard about this one...fish with an NMA Hall of Famer at night in the storied Buffalo Harbor in October on a day when one low front was moving out and being replaced by another.  I'm in.  We started fishing at 6:30 and at 7pm Larry pointed out a ski on the graph that was hovering just off the bottom in 24ft of water.  Thirty seconds later that fish was hooked up to a bait that was only ten feet down, awesome.  the fish took the fight into a couple of rods that were still in the water near the kicker.  She released well, 46 sturdy inches.  We had a good time talking about the Harbor and its rich history of musky angling.  At 9pm we decided to head back to the launch on the troll, after all it rained non stop since we launched.  Half way back the same lure/rod fires again.  This fish felt heavier than the first right away. Unfortunately the lead core line snapped a short time into the fight. We figure it must have gotten a fray in the line when the last fish swam into the spread. ;( We went from joyous to really bummed out over the thought that a fish had a bait in her mouth.  I seen her splash 4 times on the surface and then disappear.  Capt did a great job of putting us on the fish.  Two fish in less than 3 hours.  Thanks Larry.

I feel like crying.

Song by Savoy Brown, "All I Can Do I Cry". I hope she is able to shake the lure and fight another day.
