Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

I just read a report from a local Facebook group member and the person said the cormorants were targeted by the DEC today. He said he heard over 500 shots and could see birds dropping from the sky.

Yeah! That sounds like a great start.

Where is the damn, LOVE button?!

Last year I saw an article that the Canadian Government was contemplating an open season with no daily limit on cormorants.

Frank cormorants were redefined as a game bird in Ontario and Quebec in September of 2020 and they've been huntable since with a daily bag limit of 15 I believe. I was on the st lawrence when they opened the season for the first time and they really did a number on them. Problem is they were all pushed to the USA islands where they find refuge now. NY needs to make a change.
