Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

I can't compete with Cullen and John's day, but here's my report anyway:

I spent fourteen-and-a-half hours on the water today and it literally felt like I just got on the water when I got off at 10:30 PM.  It wasn't a prolific day at all.  I caught a musky only seven inches longer than the number of hours I spent fishing.  What made this trip feel so short was the company I had with me.

Starting around 8AM, Ray Mahtook fished with me.  We spent half our time trolling and the other half we bounced around casting and jigging.  I've had the pleasure of fishing with Ray on two occasions and both were unbelievable successful outings; the first salmon fishing and the second for teeth.  While I didn't put Ray on a monster like he did me last year, he did manage to catch his first tiger musky.  It was a beautifully marked 35" caught casting a midget Storm Swim Shad below the shed in the Triangle.  He moved a smaller fish earlier and we saw another dink porpoise while smacking something near the surface.  Ray is a no nonsense type of guy with a very dry wit and is one hell of a guy to fish with.  Ray, anytime you want to jump on board, feel free.  I still owe you a pig.

After I dropped off Ray at 2:30ish, I picked up Mike Fortunate. We had a really fun hour between 3:30 and 4:30.  I caught a super-dinker on a Legend in OBP casting.  We had two hot follows, I had on and lost a mid-thirty incher and Mike landed his first set of teeth for the year on the "8" on a jointed Perchbait in OBP .  She was a 40" fatty.  When you look at the picture keep in mind that Mike is a BIG boy.  Mike is a nonsensical funny guy with a great sense of humor and is one hell of a guy to fish with.  Mike, anytime you want to jump on board. feel free.  I've never caught a pig on your boat, so I don't owe you one, but I sure hope you get one with me eventually.

Mike took an hour break to eat dinner at his dad's and jumped back on for a long troll up the east side, into the canal and in front of the patch.  No rips.  No fish, but a very good time to say the least.

I'm off for three and then on for five.  It's crunch time. It's time for long days and nights.  Fish hard and think BIG.  Good luck this weekend everyone and congratulations to Cullen Veiders on his Harbor 50"!  (John, you couldn't have ripped the rod from his hands?  That baby would have been worth 100 points!)
