Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

As I turned to check my rod the tip sprung forward and then loaded. Interesting. I grabbed the rod from the holder and noticed whatever was attached to my glitter perch Legend seemed to be spiraling. Spiraling? About 15 feet from the boat, near the surface, the spiraling culprit turned out to be a mid-thirty inch musky foul hooked with the rear treble stuck in the bottom of of the gill plate. The fished freaked at the surface and was gone. I had a pretty good look at the situation and I'm almost positive the hook didn't have gills, just plate. Hopefully I'm right.
Paul Papke, the potent potato punch praetorian joined Bruce and I. We fished from noon to 6:30 in UN2, 13, 4, 13, 2 and 3, in that order.
Damn, is he a beautiful man! I couldn't love the little SOB any more if I tried.
The wind was a bit stiff when we started and the water clarity is all the better for it. I'm sure a great many of you would refer to it as "mud", but with about two feet of visibility, I call it beautiful.
Bruce was as thrilled as I was that Paul was fishing with us, so he went a little nuts with the boat snacks. The image below may shock some of you. Consider yourselves warned.
Bruce also brought hot soup and au jus for the roast beef sandwiches. I just noticed there are several more bags of chips not pictured, as well. Papke was impressed with the spread, but even more so with Bruce's display of gluttony. Later in the trip as he was sitting between the two consols, Bruce realized that with a properly sized board he could turn the walkway to the bow into a table. Smart play.
I had a fish on for about a second before dark. I was holding my rod and whatever was on briefly felt small.
We had a fun time out there and Papke didn't get in the way once, which is a new record for him. Bruce and I were very proud. Out tomorrow. I hope you and your families have a wonderful, magnificent and peaceful Thanksgiving.
Below is my Thanksgiving Day present to you. Damn is he handsome! Paul kind of looks like the actor who portrayed Big Brother in the movie version of 1984 on a subamarine. You decide.
