Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Don't you just hate it when your rod goes off and it's a pike?  Back in '99 all we caught was pike, while seemingly every boat around us was popping giant muskies.  Joe Z. caught two green rats on the same lure off the ridge coming out of the Buffalo River on my boat years ago.  Excitement turns to disappointment very fast.  And I don't buy the standard consolatary response, "At least you caught something."  When you're fishing the Harbor during musky season it's 'Ski or bust in my book.  Better luck next time Al.  At least you tried the Wasteland.  I forget it's even there most of the time.

Am I reading this correctly???? You caught two musky wannabes in the harbor??? Disappointment because they were not muskies, yes.  But this is proof that there are some fish in the harbor. A reason for optimism. Keep tryin'.  Sooner or later (hopefully sooner) someone will get a musky in the harbor. I'm stoked.

oh man.

In  2008 I was trolling the Harbour solo and on 3 consecutive passes in front of the coke channel through the deep hole I picked up pike on my perchbait.  Then while trolling through the South Gap out into the Lake I hook and fought to the surface an upper 40's ski that threw my perchbait during a jump....well she got about 1/3 of her body out of the water.  Three pike and a lost ski, what an emotional roller coaster that day was!

Wow John, that is a rough day!  Was that before or after your Larry's monster?
