Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Fished my usual spots from UN1 to UN13. Absolutely trucking nothing! We didn't even get a perch follow. I suck.

Sounds like one of my fishing reports.
I started with good intentions today. I brought my usual muskie gear and, just for the hell of it, a couple bass rods and a few bags of gulp minnows.
I started out casting monster tubes. Nothing. I trolled the east river to the Grand Island Bridge. I got tired of the weeds.
Well, blame it on my nephew who I took bass fishing last week. Or on McKee for all those bass reports. Or on the muskie gods who have been quite stingy to me lately. I heard that the bass fishing could be pretty good near the bridge, so what the hell. I'd take a few drifts. Or twenty or so. I caught a lot of fish. Mostly smaller, but a few 17 to 17.5s. It was fun.
Before quitting I ran up to above Strawberry where my nephew and I had luck last week. Only caught a few more, but one I had in the net I think was 19ish, but it jumped free before I could measure it. The next one I caught was a solid 18.5. I used to think that the lake fish were thicker than the river fish. But I don't think that anymore. These 17s to 20s have some girth, too.
I'll dedicate myself to musky fishing again in October and November.
Now I have to take Jon bass fishing to ease his pain.
Good Day
How many fish have you guys caught???
I "DO NOT" want to hear any gripeing from you two.
I bet you two have more fish then the entire club???
Maybe...
I am going to the Olcott piers. They caught 4 x20 lb Kings, 2 Browns, 1 nice Bow for Dawn Patrol this morn. Seemed like everyone but ME???
Tomorrow, Tomorrow there is always Tomorrow...

If Jojo leaves your kings alone, you can't even look at or think about his Huntley.
Good Day
John I have participated and been a member of LOTSA longer then I have been in the NMA. I fed the fish for years but work has gotten in the way lately, I should get back at it. One year at Youngstown I saw a nice Musky drueling at the young Kings. Another year I got film of some Musky spawning next to the pen, doing the hip shake. The Olcott pier is on my list of my favorite places to fish, of all the paces I have fished in North and South America. It takes a back seat only to a Blue Marlin spot " the Ups and Downs" and my favorite bridge along "Tarpon Run" , both in the lower Keys. I have been fishing the Pier since 77,( when were you born)? Probably over 500 times? To me it is "Pure Fishing". No help just you and a freight train. No boat, no motor, no sonar, no down riggers, no chasing, NO MERCY. All you baby. I have never had a Musky pull a split ring or take out 100 feet of line. When you hook a King all you can do is hold on and losen your drag, they are trying to pull you off the pier everytime. You can have some Kings, but the pier is MINE???
This morn they had 7 before sunrise. I saw a hundred? jumping but not a nip . YET...
All my dogs are named after Salmon; Chinook ,Coho, Keta, Chum, Sockeye, Bull, Brook,
Sea Run, River Run, Nerka. The Musky will have to fight for a name from me?
I wish I did not need to sleep. I would live on the Pier all September.
See ya out there. I will be back out on the East Side of Town ( east pier) Thursday dark and early. Good luck.

Scott..what's the rod & reel rig you were using? Looked like a good rig.
For what? I fish nine combos just about every time I'm out.
for casting plugs. I don't cast for muskies at all but I'd like to get into bait casting for them. Right now I'm strictly a troller (weaned on trolling by my dad) and I'm doing all the homework I can. thanks much
How much money do you want to blow?
