Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Anybody else see the 4 page article in musky hunter about the Niagara? Apparently the fishery is better than ever with fish averaging 44-52 inches and monsters being found from the mouth of the niagara right out to the bar. I remember the day the author was fishing here last september. It was the first temp drop when all the fish went shallow. We moved a ton of fish in less than 10 fow for a few days and apparently he did too and thinks it's always that way.

Is this the July Issue, who is the author?

I saw a post on a local forum a few years ago from a guy who oddly enough now guides on the river, he claims to have fished all over Ontario and WITHOUT A DOUBT the Niagara is the best fishery in for both size and numbers.

Riley...Man, you hit the nail right on the head with that!! WITHOUT A DOUBT, the Buffalo area of Lake Erie is the BEST fishery IN THE WORLD!!  You can fish for something all year 'round.  It's really World Class.  Unfortunately, my belief (really my opinion) is that being world class is also a two-edged sword.  It can bring a lot people in to fish it (NG for the fishery) but when it comes to putting $$ into improvement, the DEC & NYS look at how much $$ it brings in & how many people are spending their dollars on it.  On one hand, it's good to see that NYS would have a reason to put money into fishery improvement, but on the other hand, it can put an awful lot of pressure on the fishery.  Good on one hand, sad on the other.

Riley do u have that link u posted last year? I think it's the same guy.

(Heavy sarcasm coming.) Super.  That's just super.

44" to 52" average?!  Wow, do I suck.

It's bs to the extreme. Guy talks about his continued success casting 30-40 fow in the lower. He's gotta be a guide trying to launch a business up there. I def seen him on the water fishing an orange spinner bait over and over again in real tight from strawberry to the tip of beaver island.
I such Too!
At catching numbers of big girl's that is!

Guys name is mark counsell. On his website he sells bucktails and spinner baits and claims to be a niagara river musky guide. Website had about 180 hits as of just now. Bet he gets a few more once people start reading his bs.

If he hadn't lost all creditability with me already I just found the pic of his musky from the article online. He's claiming it's 52x25.5. It's a freaking joke, fish is def not even 50 and girth is no where near the 25" class. Guy is a complete sham.
Riley when u get a chance post a link to that forum he posted in last fall. Pretty sure the same fish was 51.5 when he posted it originally and he had landed a couple more smaller fish. Now it's grown to a 52x25.5 with 3 other fish 44-48. I want that original forum post so I can send it right to Jim Saric and let him know his new author is a scam artist. Fish is 46 by 21 tops and that's being very generous. Looking at the junk spinner baits and crimped fluorocarbon leaders he's selling I'm sure if he does find fish he's gonna leave a bait or parts of a crap bait in their face on occasion.
