Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Nephew "Monkey " off my back report 7/17
Finally got he nephew "monkey" off my back last night. Fished UN 2,3,4,5,6 7-12:30 with Dylan. Pressure was dropping all night from the approaching "cold front".( Not very cold today?)
The worse part of the storm seemed to go to the north and was quite the light show from the heat lighting. The first few hours the barometer the dropping one, one/ hundredth per hour no action. Does anyone know how much movement we want from the barometer, for the fish to move, or is it like most things where more is better ? Then around 10:45 he hooked a clean male of 41 in UN2, orange perch Toothy 44 back over 20 . When I checked the barometer it had moved 3/ 100'ths? So we get back at it. By the time we release and pic his first ever ,( wish my first was a 41) and go full circle same program, same lure as I tell him this is where you got it . Bang 11:45 the rod goes off again same spot , same size female 41 except she was heavier and scared up,( maybe from spawning). What’s wit Toothys back 44??? Is 15 down over 20 a good thing, it was last night? You can tell it was his first, by his rooky hold on the fish, kids? I check the barometer it has gone up 3/100ths and the wind is out of the north now, game over. Try a little longer , no more luck. Do we just want a moving barometer or a really moving barometer? The kid was elated, just wait till you see his face.
Pics to foollow tomorrow. The kid has been killing me, but it was worth it, twin 41's, wish that was my first catch???

The musky gods occasional smile on anglers with persistence, especially kids with persistence. Congratulations Dylan! You have a 41" average. Pop a big one and quit musky fishing forever. Or, you can let it control your life like it does mine. Nice job Wilczewski's.
Way to go jo jo and Dylan! Jo jo, you're really becoming quite the night troller. Who would have known!
And I don't follow that barometer gibberish. Even though the change in wind direction always provides a brief window of opportunity. You made the most of it.
Trollin' Joe?! Jiggin' Igg? It's a world in chaos! What's next? Castin' Tom? If Page starts casting, the Mayans nailed it and I'm filling every container I can find with potable water.

Doesn't a change in wind direstion signify a frontal crossing?
We all know the best time to fish is "WHEN YOU CAN"???

Yes, Joe, a frontal change. Always good to be there as it's happening. But you're right, go when you can and hope for the best.
Good Day
The second fish was not scared ,well maybe a little, she was scarred. The first difference
that we noticed, as we were thinking it was the same fish.
