Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

This site is sponsored by NMA Member Jay Nannen.

First off, I'd like to thank those members who reserved a ticket to our Christmas party buffet.  I'd also like say that I am aware the holidays are a busy time and commiting to an event can be extremely difficult.

Unfortunately we had to cancel our plans with the Eldredge Club for a catered party.  That does NOT mean we are cancelling our December meeting or our party.  We're gonna do this old school.

One of my earliest memories of being a member of our club was my first NMA Christmas party at the Sheridan Park Fire Hall.  It was a potluck affair.  It was a lot of fun.

At our December 6th meeting we're going to have a party. Sure, we won't have three meats, two sides and salad, but we can still eat.  And we can still have fun.  And we can still be with our friends during the holidays. Carrie is going to make some appetizers and I'm going to bring some pizzas.  If you'd like to attend our Christmas party, and I hope you all do, please bring a dessert or dish to pass.  Carrie and I will supply plates, napkins, plastic forks, spoons and knives.

We are allowed to bring in outside food because Steve, the wonderful gentleman who is in charge of the Eldredge Club, said we could.  He was legitimately concerned we wouldn't be getting together during the holidays for a party when I cancelled the buffet.  Keep that in mind and realize how nice of a gesture that is.

The fishery was rolling when I attended my first NMA Christmas party, a lot better than it is today.  I remember that first party was packed.  The fishery drew in a lot of people, but over the early years the people in our club kept members coming back.  Are the fish more important to our club or is it the people we meet at meetings and through the club?  It's both.  That's why we're members of a conservation minded fishing club.  Let's celebrate our friendships on December 6th and hopefully some huge fish released.  This party is going to be great.  How can it not be?  Think of all the wonderful people who have at least one thing in common, their love for muskellunge, who will be there.

Hopefully I'll see a bunch of you at our Christmas party.  Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and an even better holidays and New Year.

Scott

PS: There might not be Perchbaits, but I'm sure Santa Snoopy will have some nice prizes on the raffle table.
