Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

First trip of the year to the Harbour, spent the day with John Miller, saw more duck hunters than musky fisherman today.

Was a raw hand numbing face biter out there, hit the circuit, south gap and all the community trolling runs in the north gap.

No fish, no rips, had the coast guard wheel up on us in the north gap, was thinking, are they really going to check my boat in this crap? No boat check, they yelled over and asked if we saw anyone "struggling" in the water, gave them a "nope" and they were on their way.

Should have answered that the only one struggling out here is us trying to catch a musky.

Another Buffalo Harbour memory made today, just keep them coming.

Dave, Now that wasn't encouraging news to make my day up there tomorrow feel promising! I must go for the last two days because you just never know when the drag will sing!

gents, just remember... these are the "good ol' days."

John, The only reason the muskies are not in the Harbor is because of the 50 degree water out by Point Abino and the cold water in the Harbor from the snow storm. The gizzard Shad are still out in the lake and so are the muskies. Anytime you get an 8 degree drop in water temp in a short period it shuts things down.I would bet the west river gets hot again in the next week. The Harbor will be closed by the time it stablizes.

Hope to get out Sunday for the last day.

Tomorrow is off, think the impeller on my kickers water pump is shot, need to find one in the morning and replace it to fish Sunday. John and I ate our share of 2-stroke fumes today as we had to troll on my big merc most of the time.

When you start the T8 up initially there is a weak water stream, then within a few minutes the stream  begins starting/stopping/dribbling, finally it goes to all steam.

Any guy over 60yrs old can relate to this when taking  the morning whizz..... well maybe not the steam part hahahaha.

Figured something was up when we seen you trolling with main motor today. Actually thought you had quit early to go get it fixed before we got back and seen your trailer still at the launch. My throttle cables on my kicker were actually frozen up this am which was a new one for me. I could hear the ice cracking when I flexed the cables. Took a little brute force on the control lever but it broke free and saved the day.

Dave your patience knows no limits.  Way to get after it.

John, Look at this, www.glerl.noaa.
I give up Google "Lake Erie Surface Temperature"
