Opening Day Partner

Is anyone trying to fish opening day but can't find a partner?   Please let me know!  Shoot me a text or call me at [phone]. I sold my boat last year and am landlocked! 

I am a diligent, hard working and on time boat partner who likes casting the harbor, short line trolling the harbor,  deep water trolling the harbor, jigging or casting the river.

If you have a boat but aren't sure what to do I would be happy to share anything I have learned from being part of this great club for the past 15 or so years.

I also come equipped with:

- All of the release tools including net and measuring device if needed
- Extra rods, reels and baits
- A delicious lunch for everyone on board
- A pretty badass camera and experience using it to take photos of your fish of lifetime should we encounter it
- Snaps on the Petro (Gas money)
- Free Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Lessons or a Growler of fresh brewed beer

If I can't get out I will try my luck from shore.   Good luck to everyone, and as Marc Arena always used to say "Please be nice to the ladies!"

What makes a great fishing partner, especially on a first outing? Off the top of my head...
1. Be on time or even early. There is nothing worse than waiting instead of fishing.
2. Offer to pay for gas. Just an offer is usually good enough.
3. Be positive. Boat confidence matters.
4. Bring boat snacks. Sharing is caring.
5. Don't bring a ton of tackle. One trolling rig, one casting rig and a 3730 is enough.
6. Be willing and ready to try new techniques. I only (jig, cast or troll), might not get you out again.
7. Fish lures appropriate for the structure you are fishing. Chucking a Perchbait in slop weeds, huh? Great call. Not that I don't like Top Raiders, but I think a Toothy may be a better choice trolling downstream...
8. If it's not your boat, remember that.
9. Fish as a teammate. Don't set trolling lines that will tangle with your partners spread. Don't cast over their line.
10. Talk when it's time to talk. Listen when it's time to listen. And maybe most importantly, know when it's time to just shut up and fish.

I bring a ton of gear two casting two trolling
N three or four 3730s.
I'm often late.
I don't like trying new spots.
I never shut up!
Maybe that's why I like to fish alone
