Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

While out the other day, I got to thinking about how I can better manage my waypoints on my charts. I am notorious to set a waypoint when I find good looking bait, a hook, some structure, a rip, a catch, etc. Needless to say, I can remember what each one is for while out on the water, but cannot remember all of them over time.
So this yields my question -- what do you do to better manage your waypoints? Do you:
I store my waypoints on my Helix. Maybe Lowrance or Garmin have found a better way to help this chaos? If so, I would enjoy hearing how they found how to improve this. Thanks!

I always fell squarely into Joe's complete chaos classification. All of my old gps/sonar units were littered with ambiguous waypoints; humps, big marks, bait, what-the-hell-is-thats, etc.. All (like it's a large number) of my muskies were marked clearly, but certain areas of the river were more waypoints than not.
Live mapping changed that. Marking humps became (almost) irrelevant.
There are still a few middle-of-nowhere marks on my Garmin, but I generally just label muskies now. I believe my unit has a note feature, but I rarely make any comments related to musky wayppoints. Since musky catches are such a rarity for me the impetus to get back fishing overwhelms my desire to organize. Also, my only super power is remembering details of musky catches.
Great minds may think alike, Joe, but so do you and I. What does that tell you?
