Sunday Funday

Went out with the hot boat and hot hand John Pensyl on Sunday. Had a great time as usual comparing notes and seeing how he rolls. John put us on some quality fish, and despite the ultra clear water we managed two plump new moon fish that we promptly tagged and water released. A 40" and a 43". Gold was the color of the day.

Fun as always. I always love picking Josh's brain from his seasons jigging the Niagara. Amazing how two people who picked apart the same areas, years apart, using the same techniques, come to a lot of the same conclusions when it comes to bait size or color selection based on the time of year or even exact dates and times of summer/fall when fish seem to move to certain areas. We'll do it again soon for sure.
