Images

Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Acting on a tip from a musky insider buried in deep cover posing as an avid walleye guy who refers to himself only as "Nip-X", a response to the question of where to fish posed to a Ouija Board, and a best out three Rochambeau contest, Adam Kazmark and I trolled the Wasteland today. On Kaz's very nice Crestliner, we hit the pond in front of the Dirty South early.  We marked a lot of red, blue and yellow things on his fish finder and I played with his Etch-A-Sketch GPS and followed contour lines brilliantly.

After a few hours of this Adam had a feeling that started somewhere in his appendix and careened around his chest cavity until it found its way to his brain about the North Gap.  Surprisingly we marked a ton of bait there; at least by North Gap standards.  We hammered the usual spots and spent a lot of time staring at big ships.

We tried the "tail-between-your-legs" troll to the Middle Gap before calling it around 4:30.

We caught nothing but a shad (I think) scale.  We should have taken a picture.  Despite the lack of hits, we had a great time pulling baits and swapping stories.  What a day to be on the Lake.  The last time I was there was the last day of last season when Tom Page and I fought  the 30+ MPH winds on the way up from my usual stomping grounds.  Nice day, good time and no muskies.  It kind of reminded me of bass fishing.  Back out in the River tomorrow which should be good news for the Harbor.

Congratulations to Cullen Veiders on his River 50"!  When you are on, you are on!  Have fun riding this crazy wave Cullen!

Thanks for taking me out Adam and good luck everyone.
