Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

The balls on these guys... and happy belated Canada Day

"Happily for America, happily, we trust, for the whole human race, they pursued a new and more noble course. They accomplished a revolution which has no parallel in the annals of human society." — JAMES MADISON

Although the date they actually signed the document is disputed, on July 4th, 1776, the Second Continental Congress approved the wording of The Declaration of Independence.  Fifty-six signatures appear on this historic document.  From the bottom of my heart, thank you, guys.

I hope you and your families have a wonderful and safe Independence Day!!!

I feel like a schmuck!  I forgot to wish all of our Canadian brothers and sisters a happy and healthy Canada Day on the first!  (July really crept up on me this year.)  I love Canada, plain and simple.  I am so proud to call many Canadians my friends.  Is it coincidence that the two best countries on Earth share a border?  I sincerely doubt it.

"...when I have been in Canada, I have never heard a Canadian refer to an American as a "foreigner." He is just an "American." And, in the same way, in the United States, Canadians are not "foreigners," they are "Canadians." That simple little distinction illustrates to me better than anything else the relationship between our two countries."   — FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT

Scott..A very nice tribute to the founders of our country & to the neighbors to our north.  Whoever said "Good fences make good neighbors" (Robert Frost?) had it slightly wrong.  There is no fence between us & they are the best neighbors a country can have.

And to also think that our country's founders knew they were committing treason and still went thru with it.  The penalty, of course, was hanging.  Balls is right!

I did, though, used to work with a woman who was from England, had an English accent & always referred to us Americans as "you colonials."   That usually got a good laugh from the rest of us.
