Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Tried to post this as a blog last night but the site was ailing.  It only went into blogs and not latest activity.  Tried re-post this morning, same thing.  Trying again in discussions.

Talked to booger at Waneta lake today.  He told me that yesterday a 51" musky managed to hook two fishermen.  It was a three treble lure.  The tail hook was in the fish, one of the other hooks was in the palm of one guys hand and the other hook was in the knuckle of the other guys finger (he caught the fish).  The guy with the hook in his palm just ripped it out.  The one in the knuckle had to be cut off.  Apparently he didn't have health insurance but I think they took him to the hospital because the hook was embedded into his knuckle.  I know him but I'm not sure I should give his name.  Not a NMA member.  The other two guys were on their first musky fishing outing.

I hope they heal well. we all have to take safety into consideration when participating in our favorite extreme sport of musky hunting. last weekend I was holding a 40 prior to release and her gill raker sliced my middle finger enough to require 5 stitches. the weekend prior to that I got a toothy hook in my pointer finger while it was attached to a 44 in the net. I was able to rip it out before things got worse, but it still hurts! have the proper tools handy and take pressuring, especially in the big winds.
