Waneta Lake open day

We hit the water at 12:15 AM working the shore line fighting the weeds. At 1:10 had a big rip bringing in a new lure with teeth marks all over it. Fighting the weeds into the morning having to clear lines every 5-10 minutes we worked our way to the south end. Fish on at 8:40, with a few leaps into the air and a nice tail walk we had it in the boat. Bill's 1st in 3 years of trying, a 31 1/2" clean fish with no clip marks on it. After a clean release and setting lines we were back at it. Had a few more hits with nothing to show for. Around 3:00 PM I dropped the guys off at the dock and headed back out. Did some casting with nothing but weeds. Went back to trolling and had one on at 5:25. Lost it at the boat dealing with the net. The fish was 45-48". Called it a day at 6:00 PM.
